List of Best Cafes in Goa That You Must Visit Once

Goa has a lot more to offer than beaches, from sun, sand, sea, and seafood. No other destination exceeds the charm of Goa when it comes to a laid-back, spacious, and lovely style of living, from white sandy beaches to beautiful churches and buildings that reflect Portuguese architecture to famous beach shacks. And if there's anything to add a Goan experience to the cherry on top, it has to be the best cafes in Goa. It is a must for any dish to treat their taste buds in the food of heaven at these 14 best cafes in Goa whether it's creamy, crispy prawns or hot-piping Nutella pancakes.

1. Cafe Chocolatti, Candolim

This café and chocolate maker is conceived and managed by a native Londoner residing in Goa for over 15 years and has some of the finest candies on this side of Paradise, where everything's fresh at home! Try your English Cream Tea full of cozy teapots, freshly baked scones, and homemade strawberry jam to make yourself truthful, an English breakfast served all day long, and chocolate, of course.

Café Chocolatti is a stylish café situated inside the residential villa and serves as an extension of the house for café owners. The café is located in the refreshing garden in the lively streets of Goa, serving the best treatments for your sweet tooth and still provides travelers with perfect respite.

2. Baba Au Rhum, Bardez

Goa's favorite café and bakery Baba Au Rhum has reopened its brand-new address for the season in September 2014. The coffee shop now moves to Anjuna on the quiet back road between Anjuna and Baga close to the famous Bamboo Forest. Goa's favorite burgers and pizzas are served in fresh salads, sandwiches, and baked delicacies.

Considered one of the most kept secrets of this Portuguese paradise, Baba Au Rhum is a must-visit best café in Goa. Sitting among the lush bamboo woods and paddy fields, a visit to this rustic café offers travelers a relaxing atmosphere and the rich history of Anjuna.

3. The Rice Mill, Morjim

The Rice Mill has been restored two years ago and is a quaint café and bar in Morjim. On Oct. 19, they will open their gates for the season and are ready to launch their bar and bring the increasingly popular Saturday Jazz back to life.

The Rice Mill is a cozy, yellow-murled, vivid and happy coffee shop built in the old rice mill of 1955 and all about positive vibes. Nestled in the rural Morjim district, this cafe's terrestrial appearance attracts visitors to feel its minimalist beauty.

4. Lila Cafe, Anjuna

Lila Cafe is one of Goa's best cafes inspired by shacks, where travelers can enjoy hot European dishes. Located on a stalked roof, this daily restaurant serves some of the healthiest and most imaginative food. The menu includes fresh-baked croissants, homemade cheeses, divine smoked rolls, and salads run by a German couple. It's the perfect place to wake up your taste buds, breathe in the aroma of coffee and be ready again to face the world. The café is open all day, of course, but don't forget to visit it with plenty of time. This fabulous restaurant takes hours to do justice.

5. Sakana, Vagator

Sakana is owned and situated by a Japanese-Israeli pair near Vagator Beach's red cliffs. The interior is fitted with sake and kimono photos and an oversize, white-lighted sakura tree. Though one of only a few Japanese restaurants in Goa, Sakana still works hard to distinguish itself from typical dishes, including sushi, udon noodles, yakiniku beef, salmon, and pickled radish katsu. Naturally, the sake flows and cocktail recipes like lemon soda are also available. Order your amaretto or cherry ice cream for a sweet and light finale if they are available. Note: During monsoon season, Sakana is closed, so make sure to eat before the end of May.

Sakana is by far one of Goa's best cafés for those who never end their appetite for Japanese cuisine. Situated between the two famous beaches of Anjuna and Vagator Beach, you must make sure that on your next trip to Goan you enjoy the Hot Kingfish Sashimi at Sakana.

6. Cafe Al Fresco by Cantina Bodega, Panjim

Their breakfast is awesome, and if you’re lucky ones, they can be filled with a Kombucha {some sweetened black or green tea} fermented and slightly exhilarating when you are in town. A restaurant ornate with a beautiful Al Fresco dining in a Portuguese villa court, this restaurant is my vote. They have some delicious bakes as well. Moreover, they are big on the number of potions. A mushroom can be ordered and made for the day, garlic pasta, and cheese fries. Look for the attached art gallery while you're there, they're always showing some art.

Cafe Al Fresco by Cantina Bodega or Cafe Bodega, located within a picturesque cottage-like building within the premises of the Sunaparanta for Arts Centre, is one of Panjim's best cafes. Cafe Bodega is the place to enjoy peace and silence with an artistic touch and an invigorating atmosphere.

7. Black Vanilla, Panjim

Are you looking for a restaurant to sit, relax and be with some delicious food? Just look at the famous Black Vanilla Cafe in the center of Panjim. Give your taste buds the best of barbeque burgers in this gem of a cafe with creative decor, comfortable sitting facilities, or a cozy ambiance.

In Panjim, Goa's main Campal Road, Black Vanilla seeks to offer a classic, French bakery. The fourth outlet of the Bennet & Bernard Gastronomy chain, this deli combines high-quality ingredients, combining a timely atmosphere and the courtesy of the staff, ensuring that you get retracted.

8. Eva Cafe, Anjuna

Go to Eva Cafe in Anjuna and find the ideal spot for snacking beers and looking at the sea. This small café is hard to find. However, spending a lot of time looking for it was absolutely worthwhile. The cabin lies on the rocks facing the beach of Anjuna. The decoration is rustic in Portuguese, which will make you feel at home somehow. One of the best places to spend the day is on the beach overlooking the rocks.

Eva Cafe is a delightful little heaven on the coast of Anjuna Beach, striking a perfect balance between the sun, sand, the sea, and the sky. This white heaven is indeed one of the best cafés in the city of Goa, be it the fascinating views of the sunset, the delicious food, or the brisk atmosphere.

9. The Space Goa, Palolem

Situated on Agonda's beach, Space Goa is a quiet, serene café serving organic products and the most beautiful cafes. The Space in Palolem maybe 6 years old, but it has the same familiar atmosphere which keeps people back. It's a yoga center and a health center and is still not on everybody's radar that likes to party like mad in Palolem. Therefore it is a quiet oasis that surrounds you with calm greenery far from crowds (which obviously gives you green salads).

By the way, we hear that their cakes are quite spectacular. And, if you have a bigger appetite, you can assault your salads and sandwiches, paninis, fruit bowls, etc.

10. Carpe Diem, Majorda

The Carpe Diem café is situated within an ancient Art Gallery from the Portuguese era and has managed to preserve intact the rustic charm of the gallery. The café serves a full-day menu that includes a selection of waffles, milkshakes, and sandwiches to treat travelers to the space they need. Carpe Diem is one of the best cafes in Goa, offering what is called comfort food. A place to explore the creative self within, a place to discover what others do with their dreams. A starting pad for your own new trip.

11. Blue Planet Cafe, Canacona

The menu is mostly Vegan Blue Planet, a welcome detox removed from the beach scene, with the scrambling of tofu and vegan pancakes. Salads, smoothies and innovative veg dishes, and a bucolic atmosphere are available. It is situated in an off-road jungle, about 2 km (follow the signs from the main Agonda-Palolem road) from the village Agonda.

The Blue Planet Cafe is considered one of Goa's top cafés for true vegans, an unwinding, laid-back cafe, and refreshing outdoor cafe. Sit in the lush woods, surrounded by hills, enjoy some delicious cheesecakes while looking at the vast greenery landscapes.

12. Cafe Inn, Palolem

Café Inn is one of Palolem's best-known hang-outs off the beach if you're looking for a strong latte or a slushie with infusers of rum. Breakfasts are packed, and Panini sandwiches and comfort food burgers hit the scene. Live music and party evenings regularly.

A café built like a shack to reflect the essence of Goan, the Cafe Inn is one of Goa's best cafes to hang out in Palolem. It's vibrant and musically very diverse, making it one of Goa's must-see cafes, renowned for its English breakfast.

13. Waterfalls Cafe, Benaulim

Waterfall Cafe is a wonderful multi-tourist restaurant and cafe and is the place to enjoy romantic dining right now. Waterfall Café is without doubt one of the best cafes in Goa for gastronomers, whether it's within or outside the courtyard.

Take the time to relax with a full-service spa visit. Gambling can try your luck in the casino, while others can choose an outdoor swimming pool and a spa. Free wireless Internet, concierge services, and gift shops/newsstands are available at this resort as well. Surfing and sanding are a breeze and the beach shuttle is complimentary.

14. Village Cafe, Majorda

Whether it's a relaxed breakfast, lunch, or cozy dinner, you'll be covered at the Village Cafe at all times. Set on the Park Hyatt Resort, the café offers elegant interiors, an open-air environment, and an ideal environment for every occasion. Breakfast is served in this charming café, serving the best Asian and Continental cuisine.
