Assam is a state in north-eastern
India known for its untamed life, archaeological locales and tea manors. In the
west, Guwahati, Assam's biggest city, highlights silk bazaars and the ridge
Kamakhya Temple. Umananda Temple sits on Peacock Island in the Brahmaputra
waterway. The state capital, Dispur, is a suburb of Guwahati. The antiquated
journey site of Hajo and Madan Kamdev, the remnants of a sanctuary complex, lie
close-by.
The marshlands of northern
Kaziranga National Park harbor deer, elephants and the Indian one-horned
rhinoceros. On the northern fringe, Manas National Park is popular for its
water bison, monkeys and tigers. Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary and Orang National
Park are additionally known for their one-horned rhinos. The northern city of
